AI is progressing from computer vision-based perception to reasoning with LLMs, multimodal understanding with VLMs, action generation with VLAs, and future prediction and planning through World Action Models.
These advances are increasingly being applied to medicine, particularly surgery. This seminar will review this transition and introduce representative applications ranging from surgical assistance to autonomous robotic surgery.
